Hardly a vintage-looking Ribblesdale beforehand, more about potential than proven form in the main, over half the field having had just 2 previous outings, and a steadyish gallop that saw as many as 9 separated by fewer than 4 lengths at the furlong pole does little to alter that view, but the runner-up is clearly a very promising filly and looked unlucky not to win.
