With a clutch of the higher-rated fillies coming into this year's Duke of Cambridge not meeting expectations on the day it's a race that lacked the strength in depth that it might have had they all turned up on their A-game, perhaps no coincidence that each of the first 5 home all had the benefit of a recent run behind them coming into this unorthodox Royal meeting; a good pace was set by Invitational and it was a fair race all round.
