A bit different to most renewals in that the bar was set slightly lower, as the majority were stepping up in class, and unusually the Derby form wasn't represented at all with little time between the meetings this year; in event it has to be rated as substandard, as the outcome was heavily influenced by the run of the race, steady early (with several pulling) as Campanologist dictated, and a prominent ride also explains Top Lock's improved showing, Conduit doing well to split that pair in the end.
