A typical Wokingham on the whole, but even more open and more mediocre than in most years, as fewer higher-grade sprinters were drawn by the big pot, and 3 of the 4 best handicapped horses finished in the frame; though the split wasn't even, the 9 (highest drawn) who raced far side held their own throughout (winner and third came from there), while the bigger group became rather disjointed, to their detriment, the pacesetting pair of Tamagin and Off The Record coming up the middle, and not many ever got in a challenge.
