Fair form when third both outings on the Flat in France and, having changed hands for €140,000 last summer, he has shaped well in 2m juvenile hurdles at Kempton and Chepstow. Remains open to improvement in this sphere and he's a strong candidate.

French form has some merit (reached the frame in bumpers/juvenile hurdle for M.Seror) and fair form when fifth of 10 in an Ascot juvenile hurdle on second start for present connections. Wouldn't need to improve much on that (if at all) to have a major say in this contest.

Fair maiden on Flat (should stay beyond 1m) for Hugo Palmer and he's a half-brother to fairly useful hurdler Courage. Showed plenty to work on when second of 11 on hurdles debut at Taunton and strong each-way claims here, for all that he failed to build on that initial promise at Wetherby last time.

Dual winner on the Flat latterly taking an 8.3f Nottingham handicap last summer. Another for whom there are question marks stamina-wise not sent hurdling.

Showed plenty of ability despite obvious inexperience when runner-up in 4-runner novice on the Flat at Ripon in September. Stepped up on low-key hurdles debut when fourth of 10 in a first-time hood (retained) at Wetherby (2m, heavy) last month and one to watch out for in handicaps in due course.

Down the field sole start on the Flat in Ireland and didn't show much starting out for new yard on hurdles debut at Musselburgh on New Year's Day either. Now tried in a tongue strap.

Modest performer at up to a mile on the level and major stamina query now switched to hurdles.

Modest form in 2 bumpers and didn't fare any better starting out over hurdles at Warwick.

Dual Grade 3 bumper winner in France and cruised home when long odds-on for 2m Uttoxeter novice on third start for Nicky Henderson in November. Untidy jump at the last handed the initiative to Watamu when just touched off by that rival at Huntingdon last time and now 7 lb better off with that rival.

Won 3 bumpers last term, including a Sandown listed race, and opened hurdles account at the third when landing a mares' novice at Chepstow (2m, soft) 3 weeks ago, proving 1¾ lengths too good for the re-opposing Trinity Street. Now tried in cheekpieces and she remains with potential.

Fairly useful bumper winner who has made a promising start over hurdles, most recently keeping on well to landing a 6-runner Windsor novice (2m, soft). This is more demanding but she should be capable of better still for her top yard and is high on the shortlist.

Easily won sole start in Irish points in May and showed plenty when second in a Carlisle bumper in November. Also runner-up both starts since sent hurdling, latterly chasing home Charisma Cat at Chepstow, and it's surely matter of time before she opens her account in this sphere.

Blue Bresil mare who won her sole start in points and followed up in Aintree bumper 9 months later. Shaped well when third of 16 starting out over hurdles in what was probably a pretty decent Warwick novice (19f, soft) last month and her best days surely remain ahead of her.

Half-sister to 4 winners, including fairly useful French hurdler/chaser Kazarov and fair hurdle winner/chaser in France Kap Sky. Built on encouraging debut in a bumper when scoring on hurdles bow at Worcester (2m, good to soft) in October with Getawhisky back in fourth. Open to improvement.

Bumper winner for Pat Murphy in October 2024 and bettered initial efforts in this sphere when edging out Khrisma in a big-field mares' novice at Huntingdon last time. However, she's far from certain to confirm the placings with that rival, who renews rivalry on 7 lb better terms.

It's been all rather low-key in bumpers/maiden hurdles so far and she's probably more one for handicaps later on.

£78,000 purchase after finishing third in an Irish point but she's another who will likely be seen in a better light when switched to handicaps in due course.

Dispatched pair of subsequent winners in 3m novice handicap hurdle at Ayr last spring. Resumed with promising second on Exeter chase debut in November and very much back on the up after a blip a Sandown when second in Timeform Novices' Handicap at Cheltenham last time. Open to further improvement.

Grade 2 hurdle winner who has shown useful form over fences but struggling for form at present, again running poorly when a well-beaten last of 5 in Grade 2 at Ascot latest. Blinkers now tried.

Fairly useful novice hurdler and already a better chaser, leaving chase bow/return well behind when winning over C&D in December, impressing in all respects and value for extra over the result. Reported to have bled following a fall at Kempton since but remains open to progress all the same.

Fair winning hurdler who ran below form on both starts in 2024/25. Should make a chaser but faces no easy task at the weights.
