Struck in 2m Ascot novice last November and shaped better than result in competitive 2m Cheltenham race on handicap bow later that month. Hasn't done much wrong in 3 subsequent starts and, likely to come on for recent reappearance spin at Huntingdon, he's one to consider now switched to fences.

Made the most of a good opportunity when winning a Hexham maiden hurdle on final run of last season. Little impact on return/chase debut at Carlisle and while he subsequently bagged a 3-runner affair at Leicester, it remains to be seen if his jumping will pass the test in this more competitive race.

Comfortable winner of sole outing in points and predictably left low-key hurdles form well behind when accounting for 7 rivals on chase debut at Warwick (16.2f, soft). 6 lb rise for that ready success is no great hardship and there should be better to come.

Runner-up completed starts in points and progressive form over hurdles, winning 2 of his 3 starts in handicaps. Hasn't shone in a couple of runs switched to fences since returning to action in September, though, and he needs to step up here.

Fairly useful on the Flat and over hurdles for Adrian Keatley before making a winning start over fences for new yard in 6-runner handicap at Southwell (20.4f, soft) last month. Wasn't disgraced when fourth of 10 at Newcastle since, but couldn't be sure that this drop in trip is what he wants.

Won 3 times over hurdles during 2023/24 campaign and, though last season ended on a downer, he made a reasonably encouraging return when second on chase debut at Ludlow (2m, good to soft). Should have a race in him off this sort of mark over fences, provided that he builds on that.

Back on track when second over hurdles at Uttoxeter (2½m, good to soft) in June. Stepped up on what she showed first time out in this sphere when fourth in a 9-runner Newcastle handicap chase recently, but one or two of the others make more appeal on this occasion.

Smart hurdler, including ½-length third to reopposing Blueking d'Oroux in 21.5f Sandown Grade 2 in April. Promising chase debut success at Punchestown (19f) last month suggests he can make his presence felt in top novices this season but 3m did seem to stretch him on previous attempt.

Useful novice hurdler last term (including runner-up in Grade 1 Challow) and has taken really well to chasing, winning 2½m Newbury Grade 2 novice last month. The return to 3m should help if anything. Leading claims.

Smart hurdler who couldn't live with Lulamba on his reappearance but saw things out well stepping to 3m for the first time to win Sandown Grade 2 novice 3 weeks ago.

Smart hurdler who was turned over at short odds on his Newton Abbot chase debut/reappearance in October but made no mistake in 2½m Wincanton Grade 2 novice since. This trip looked to stretch him over hurdles, albeit at Ascot and this is a sharper test.

Useful novice hurdler last season, including third in 3m Aintree Grade 1 novice in Aintree. Has matched that form in defeat in 2 chases but Wendigo was 9½ lengths ahead of him at Newbury latterly. Has a tongue tie refitted.

Useful hurdler who disappointed on his chase debut last season but proved a different proposition with a win in 21f Ascot maiden on his reappearance 5 weeks ago. The return to 3m will suit. Open to progress.
