HORSE RACING BETTING ODDS COMPARISON

Shown improvement on last 2 starts at Southwell on the back of a gelding operation, opening his account in 9-runner handicap there 2 weeks ago fitted with a first-time tongue strap. Entitled to be in the mix in follow-up bid.

Temperamental sort who got back on scoreboard at Sandown (1m) in July. Proved as good as ever when resuming winning ways in 9-runner event (10/1) at Epsom (8.5f, good) 4 days ago, suited by way race developed. Carries a 4-lb penalty and this C&D winner may find things setting up for him again.

On the up since cheekpieces went on and doubled her tally in 6f handicap at Leicester in July. Found only one too good both outings since, latest over that same trip at this course at the end of last month. Has to prove her stamina for 1m.

Much improved since sent handicapping, off the mark in good style over C&D in June and comfortably following up at Carlisle the following month. Upped 11 lb and not disgraced making the frame at Newmarket both starts since. Not one to give up on just yet.

Another C&D winner who scored at Wolverhampton (9.5f) in April. Got back on track when fourth there last week. Can give another good account from 2 lb below last winning mark.

Advanced his form with a breakthrough win in 1m handicap at Newmarket in June and backed it up with a runner-up finish there the following week. Found run of good form coming to a halt at Haydock last time and no surprise were he to bounce back.

Pulled clear with a useful sort when making a winning start in Southwell novice in January but struggled on the turf after. Shaped with a bit more promise when back on tapeta at Wolverhampton last time and now needs to build on that switching surfaces once more.

Made the frame twice from 4 starts this year and may have just needed latest run at Kempton after a 10-week absence. The cheekpieces are retained and the handicapper sees fit to drop her another 1 lb, so has to merit consideration.

Runner-up 3 times this season, most recently at Sandown last month. Shaped better than distance beaten suggests when sixth of 8 in handicap at Epsom (8.5f, good) 14 days ago, paying price for big move into contention.

Much improved when getting off the mark in 7f Newcastle maiden in January and followed up over 1m there on handicap debut. Failed to complete the hat-trick at Kempton when last seen and market best guide after 6 months off.

C&D winner. Stepped up on his previous efforts this year to win at Chepstow (1m) in July and backed that up with a second there the following week. However, found run of good form coming to a halt at Sandown since.

Improved to open her account at the second time of asking at Wolverhampton (7f) last December. Matched that form when fourth there on handicap debut back in May but that's her only outing since winning and she's probably best watched at present.

Sole success came on the all-weather at Lingfield back in spring 2025. Hasn't really built on his first 2 outings earlier this year but continues to fall in the weights and should at least come on for the recent run having been off 3 months prior.

Back on song on first start in a 0-100 when seeing off 8 rivals at Cartmel in July. Quickly made amends for his subsequent unseat at that track when emphatically resuming winning ways at Newton Abbot 7 days ago. Going the right way now and capable of defying a penalty to notch a third quick win.

Landed a fourth career success in last year's renewal of this race. Only 2 lb higher here and shaped much better than the beaten distance when well-held fourth at Uttoxeter (23f) 7 weeks ago. Entitled to go close for Southern yard who are 3-3 with handicap runners at this track.

Free-going mare. Reverted to front-running tactics when scoring by 11 lengths in mares handicap at Stratford (2¾m) last time, ending a 26½-month losing run under a good ride from this conditional. May fall short against better rivals, though, even if allowed to dictate on first crack at this trip.

Very promising start when second of 8 after a slow start at Thirsk (5f) and again shaped with plenty of encouragement against more experienced rivals when fourth of 18 in a valuable sales race at Newmarket (6f, good) 23 days ago. Likely to improve.

€250,000 foal, 220,000 gns yearling, Blue Point filly out of an unraced half-sister to high-class 1m-1¼m winner Arod. Showed promise when fourth of 6 in maiden at Ffos Las (6f, good to firm) on debut 18 days ago (held when hampered final 100 yds). Should have more to offer.

Shaped best without quite justifying short odds in 4-runner maiden at Ayr (6f) on debut and unlucky to bump into a potentially-useful southern raider when filling the same position in a 5-runner maiden at Hamilton (6f, good to firm) 59 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time. Open to progress.

Left debut form behind when second of 9 in maiden at Sandown (5f) last month, travelling well and leading until late on. Had little chance the winner facing softer ground when filling the same position in a 3-runner maiden at Chepstow 16 days ago but would be a player if back to his Sandown form.

£80,000 yearling, Mehmas filly. Looked in need of the experience but made an encouraging start when fourth of 10 in maiden (12/1) at Newbury (6f, firm) on debut 19 days ago (one of 2 to race in the disadvantaged group). May well do better.

Foaled April 4. 58,000 gns foal, Havana Grey filly. Half-sister to several winners, including useful 5.7f-1m winner Sweet Dragon Fly and 7f winner Star Style. Dam 2-y-o 6f winner. Yard 4-23 with 2-y-o newcomers this season.

€100,000 yearling. €45,000 2-y-o breeze-up purchase. Wasn't given a hard time when 4¼ lengths behind an above average pair (second since placed in listed event) here on debut but didn't improve upon that form when fourth of 5 in maiden at Brighton (6f, good to firm) 21 days ago.

Foaled February 21. 75,000 gns yearling, Kodiac colt. Brother to 2-y-o 5f-6f winner All The Time and half-brother to 6f winners Ballintogher and Beauty Light. Makes some appeal on paper, so worth a second look in the betting.

Led for long way when seventh of 9 in novice at Kempton on debut but ridden in stark contrast and made no inroads after a 12-week break there earlier this month. Likely one for nurseries.

Much improved from debut when fourth of 5 in novice (28/1) at Brighton (7f, good) 39 days ago but will of more interest in nurseries. Down in trip.
