wasted no time getting back to winning form, ridden more patiently than is often the case, whether by choice or accident; in touch early, lost place/couple of reminders after mistake fourth, headway when hampered 4 out, effort approaching next, led 2 out, kept up to work; suited by the way the race developed and, given her patchy profile, she'll be one to take on when next seen.

was wearing a first-time tongue strap and ran creditably, though he's on a long losing run, the handicapper still seemingly in control, his jumping again letting him down, going right on several occasions; led, shaken up early in straight, headed 2 out, weakened run-in.

wasn't disgraced back down in trip, shaping a touch better than the distance beaten suggests; patiently ridden travelling well (bit free early stages), headway from halfway, every chance when hampered 3 out, no further impression.

A valuable event, though it proved a somewhat unsatisfactory one, the strongly-fancied Ulis de Vassy not at his best, the progressive Walden Prince making a chance-ending blunder at the fourth last, with Nearest The Pin's chance compromised when squeezed at the next, the winner coming from last to first to land the spoils in a race that largely fell apart.

FAIRYINTHEWIND (IRE) wasted no time getting back to winning form, ridden more patiently than is often the case, whether by choice or accident; in touch early, lost place/couple of reminders after mistake fourth, headway when hampered 4 out, effort approaching next, led 2 out, kept up to work; suited by the way the race developed and, given her patchy profile, she'll be one to take on when next seen.
