followed up from last time returned to turf, having no problems with this much stiffer track, seeing it out even better than at Lingfield, in fact; made all, driven over 1f out, kept going well; Chester will presumably be next on his agenda before another tilt at the Dash at Epsom, where he finished fifth last year.

back down in trip after 6 months off, posted a creditable effort under a change from his usual tactics, finishing off the race well considering how lit up he was early on, likely to come on for the race, too; waited with, took strong hold, ridden 2f out, kept on down outside final 1f, nearest at the finish.

usually takes a run or 2 to come to hand and shaped well with that in mind after 6 months off, lack of a recent outing just telling late on; prominent, took keen hold, ridden early in straight, no extra final 1f.

was well backed, but was still out of the handicap despite being penalised for winning at Doncaster last time and wasn't in quite the same form in this much stronger race; chased leaders, not settle fully, ridden 2f out, weakened final 1f.
