produced a big effort back in a handicap for just the second time in his career, always holding on despite being close to a good pace throughout, producing a smart effort that will make him of considerable interest back in listed company and perhaps even beyond; in touch, challenged over 1f out, led final 1f, ridden out; will remain of plenty of interest.

backed at long odds, had been crying out for the return to 6f and duly ran well despite running from 5 lb out of the weights; missed the break, held up, headway over 1f out, kept on; sure to be of interest again.
