showed improved form and caused a minor suprise reverting to a sprint, showing a fine attitude to repel the chasing pack, albeit having had nothing to spare at the line in a race in which plenty fell right for her; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, led over 1f out, all out to hold on, proved game; she's not an obvious type to follow up.

All 13 ran.

Winning Owner: Mrs J. S. Bolger

Time: 1m 11.14s

Overrounds: Industry SP 120%, Betfair SP 100.7%

With a number of the more likely types below their very best to varying degrees, including the front-running runner-up, it’s probably best to take a conservative view of the bare form, the winner showing improvement to come out on top but having less than 2 lengths to spare over the first 7 home at the line.

SOMETIMESADIAMOND (IRE) showed improved form and caused a minor suprise reverting to a sprint, showing a fine attitude to repel the chasing pack, albeit having had nothing to spare at the line in a race in which plenty fell right for her; chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, led over 1f out, all out to hold on, proved game; she's not an obvious type to follow up.

COULD IT BE LOVE (USA) who's being kept busy, got back on track kept to 6 furlongs and would probably have got back up in another stride or 2; led, travelled well, ridden 2f out, headed over 1f out, stuck to task.

GOLDEN SPELL ran one of this season's better races in first-time cheekpieces; chased leaders, led briefly over 1f out, kept on.

JULIA'S MAGIC (IRE) seemed to excel herself upped in grade after 7 weeks off; in touch, effort approaching 2f out, stayed on, nearest at the finish; remains to be seen if able to back this up.

NOW YOU'RE TALKING (IRE) got back on track, doing her best work late on; waited with, ridden from 2f out, switched approaching final 1f, closed all the way to the line; she's clearly got the ability to win a race of this nature.

RAJAR continues in good heart; mid-field, driven from halfway, headway over 1f out, one paced near finish.

PATUANO (IRE) ran about as well as could have been expected upped in grade; mid-field, ridden 2f out, one paced.

SOFFIA wasn't disgraced in terms of form, but had her winning run ended in a race that didn't really pan out for her; mid-field, bumped halfway, ridden from 2f out, bumped inside final 1f, one paced.

AMTHAAL ran at least as well in defeat up in grade as when winning the time before; waited with, travelled fluently, switched over 1f out, ridden approaching final 1f, bumped inside final 1f, one paced.

HELLO BRIGETTE (IRE) was below form after just 4 days off; mid-field, shaken up halfway, weakened over 1f out.

BLUE ULURU (IRE) back up in trip, clearly wasn't 100% on the day; close up, took strong hold, shaken up from 2f out, found little; is well worth another chance.

MAMBA NOIRE (FR) turned out again quickly, ran no sort of race; mid-field, driven halfway, made no impression.

FIRE OPAL (USA) seemed to find this all too much at this stage of her career; always behind.
