Not a particularly deep Group 2 that went largely to form, Layfayette confirming superiority over a field that, with the exception of Cadillac, he had already beaten at least once this season; the pace was just fair.

LAYFAYETTE (IRE) in the form of his life at present, improved another little bit to complete the hat-trick, winning with a bit more in hand than the official margin would imply; dropped out, smooth headway out wide early in straight, quickened to lead 1f out, driven clear; holds an entry in the Hardwicke, but connections are reportedly considering supplementing him for the Tattersalls Gold Cup.
