confirmed promise of reappearance and then some, producing a remarkable turn of foot once in the clear to come from last to first in the final ¼m, the winning margin no reflection of her superiority; steadied at the start, dropped out, forced wide 2f out, stayed on strongly, led post; will stay 1m and will be a danger to all in the Irish 1000 Guineas next time.

a regular visitor to these shores, bounced back to her very best after 7 months off, unlucky to bump into a potentially smart 3-y-o; held up, headway 2f out, challenged well inside final 1f, just failed; wasn't the most consistent last year, but this is a very solid platform upon which to build.

runner-up to Hermosa when last seen in September, was strong in the betting but ultimately shaped as if the run was needed; close up, travelled well, effort over 1f out, no extra, not knocked about; has enough stamina on the dam's side of her pedigree to suggest 1m will be within range.

All 10 ran.

Winning Owner: Mrs John Magnier & M Tabor & D Smith

Time: 1m 26.72s Closing Sectional: (3.00f): 36.95s (100.6%)

A useful renewal of this Group 3 for fillies and mares, and for the eighth time in the last 10 years it was a member of the classic generation that came out on top, Happen coming from a seemingly impossible position to put her head in front right on the line.

HAPPEN (USA) confirmed promise of reappearance and then some, producing a remarkable turn of foot once in the clear to come from last to first in the final ¼m, the winning margin no reflection of her superiority; steadied at the start, dropped out, forced wide 2f out, stayed on strongly, led post; will stay 1m and will be a danger to all in the Irish 1000 Guineas next time.

DAN'S DREAM a regular visitor to these shores, bounced back to her very best after 7 months off, unlucky to bump into a potentially smart 3-y-o; held up, headway 2f out, challenged well inside final 1f, just failed; wasn't the most consistent last year, but this is a very solid platform upon which to build.

RIONACH back down in trip and without a hood, seemed to excel herself under a change of tactics; disputed lead, went with enthusiasm, went clear over 1f out, collared final strides, very much had the run of the race; remains to be seen if able to back this up.

HAND ON HEART (IRE) backed up previous effort despite being unsuited by the drop in trip; mid-division, forced to switch over 1f out, kept on well, never nearer.

FOXTROT LIV runner-up to Hermosa when last seen in September, was strong in the betting but ultimately shaped as if the run was needed; close up, travelled well, effort over 1f out, no extra, not knocked about; has enough stamina on the dam's side of her pedigree to suggest 1m will be within range.

TITANIUM SKY (IRE) whose rider was unable to claim, ran well upped in grade, the experience likely to stand to her; mid-division, took strong hold, pushed along 2f out, not quicken.

DROMBEG DREAM (IRE) failed to repeat last effort, but it bears repeating that all of her wins have come on soft/heavy ground; chased leaders, ridden soon after halfway, looked held when hampered over 1f out, not persevered with once held.

INDIAN BLESSING under a penalty for winning a Group 3 in Germany last year, didn't shape with a great deal of encouragement, but might have needed the run after 7 months off; always behind.

I REMEMBER YOU (IRE) fared no better than on return, but essentially acted as pacemaker for Happen; disputed lead until 2f out, weakened.

LUCEITA (IRE) a C&D maiden winner on her only previous start, shaped as if amiss after 8 months off; mid-division, labouring over 2f out, hampered soon after, eased off.
