A small-field affair in which the pace didn't truly lift until early in the straight and the well-supported favourite can be marked up for reeling in a slightly better-positioned rival a shade snugly, for all that he was helped in part by that one's waywardness.

SEA KING in first-time blinkers, resumed progress/winning ways back in much calmer waters, justifying strong support in the process; steadied at the start, held up, travelled well, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead near line, won cosily.

DARK MOON RISING (IRE) wasted no time getting back to form, though looked less than straightforward in doing so; chased leader, relegated to third before halfway, shaken up under 3f out, led when hung badly left under 2f out, kept on, headed near line.

SIR CHAUVELIN again ran creditably in a race that didn't pan out perfectly for him; steadied at the start, in rear, headway under 2f out, ridden soon after, not quicken final 1f.

STRUTH (IRE) ran creditably on the figures back down in grade but had every chance; led, ridden over 2f out, typically carried head bit awkwardly, headed under 2f out, not quicken.
