was very easy to back but proved better than ever to make a successful return after 9 months off, giving her trainer a first winner since July in the process; in touch, ridden over 2f out, led 1f out, kept on well, well on top finish; she ought to be up to making an impact in Group races against her own sex.

showed improved form up in grade and in first-time cheekpieces, seemingly no fluke about it; raced off the pace, pushed along 3f out, headway over 1f out, chased leader soon after, kept on; she's likely to stay 1½m.

wasn't disgraced, having the form in the book to make much more of an impact than she did but she's perhaps just not quite at her best yet this year; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, kept on final 1f.

ran well upped in grade after just 7 days off, in spite of the drop back in trip, a return to 1½m likely to suit her well, not out of the question that she can make more of an impact at this level under the right circumstances; raced off the pace, pushed along 3f out, stayed on final 1f, never landed a blow.

who attracted support, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, still looking in good heart but her finishing effort didn't match the way she travelled; tracked pace, travelled fluently, shaken up over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

easy to back, wasn't in the same form as last time, though perhaps isn't quite as good as that makes her look; in rear, struggling over 2f out, carried head bit awkwardly, plugged on, never a threat.

shaped much better than the bare result, looking a threat halfway up the straight before her earlier exertions told; tracked pace, refused to settle, shaken up over 2f out, still every chance over 1f out, weakened inside final 1f; she may yet have a bigger performance in the locker if proving more tractable.

An up-to-scratch running of this listed event, though that's not to say it's likely to make for strong form, the lightly-raced winner better than ever but the runner-up had been beaten in a handicap off a mark of just 83 the time before.

BHARANI STAR (GER) was very easy to back but proved better than ever to make a successful return after 9 months off, giving her trainer a first winner since July in the process; in touch, ridden over 2f out, led 1f out, kept on well, well on top finish; she ought to be up to making an impact in Group races against her own sex.

A LA VOILE again ran creditably, looking more straightforward this time, too; led, tackled over 2f out, headed 1f out, no extra last ½f.

BLACK LOTUS wasn't disgraced, having the form in the book to make much more of an impact than she did but she's perhaps just not quite at her best yet this year; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, kept on final 1f.

KALEIDOSCOPIC who attracted support, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, still looking in good heart but her finishing effort didn't match the way she travelled; tracked pace, travelled fluently, shaken up over 2f out, weakened final 1f.

PHOLAS easy to back, wasn't in the same form as last time, though perhaps isn't quite as good as that makes her look; in rear, struggling over 2f out, carried head bit awkwardly, plugged on, never a threat.
