7 weeks on from reappearance, won second time out as he'd done last season, though it didn't look likely at all turning in; raced off the pace, pecked thirteenth, outpaced home turn and looked held, rallied from 4 out, challenged between last 2, led when not fluent last, responded well to hold off runner-up.

went like the best horse at the weights only to be picked off by one who came from even further back, though this form is hardly solid; in touch with rider biding time, smooth headway entering straight, led on bridle 3 out, tackled between last 2, headed last, kept on.

back down in trip, shaped better than the distance beaten suggests, making his effort earlier than the front pair in a muddling race; mid-field, headway under pressure after fifteenth, led entering straight, headed 3 out, faded after next.

uneasy in the market, went backwards from reappearance, though he did make his effort earlier than 2 of the 3 who beat him; prominent, awkward fifth, pushed along after fifteenth, faded from 3 out.

Another muddling finish on this card, one who looked like being tailed off leaving the back coming through to wear down the strong-travelling runner-up, the 3 that challenged entering the straight barely seeing a race out between them.
