A tightly-knit handicap, the way the race developed probably shaping the outcome, Showdaisy not taken on for the lead and able to hang on with nothing to spare from another that raced prominently.

SHOWDAISY had bombed out when making the running on her previous start a couple of weeks earlier but was back to her very best with similar tactics employed here, undoubtedly aided by not being taken on in front; made all, travelled fluently, challenged final 1f, all out to hold on.

FOXTROT KNIGHT wasted no time getting back on track, away on terms and running as well as he has this season, acknowledging he was well positioned; prominent, shaken up under 2f out, every chance final 1f, kept on.

ROYAL BRAVE (IRE) remains in good form and really is admirably consistent; waited with, travelled fluently, headway under pressure approaching final 1f, stayed on.

JACK DEXTER again shaped well and remains one to be interested in from this sort of mark, acknowledging he's been an infrequent winner for several seasons now; held up, travelled fluently, still plenty to do over 1f out, stayed on, never nearer, not ideally placed.

INVINCIBLE RIDGE (IRE) again wasn't disgraced, seemingly just finding it tough from his mark since Wolverhampton; close up, ridden over 2f out, no extra final 100 yds.

CONFESSIONAL had no excuses but is likely to be back to his last winning mark when next seen, eligible for a slightly lower grade of handicap as a result; prominent, ridden over 2f out, not quicken final 1f.
