is an improved character all round this season, more the finished article, able to get the job done unlike last year, and he's showing useful form, coping fine with this 2f shorter trip, albeit suited by the strong gallop; raced off the pace, headway under pressure 3f out, stayed on to lead approaching final 1f, kept going well when runner-up came at him late; things aren't sure to pan out so well for him next time but he's fresh for the second half of the season and no reason why he won't continue to give a good account.

was back in the right sort of grade, very top-end handicaps simply too much for him the last twice, and returned to form, putting up a career best in fact; waited with, travelled well, headway over 1f out, ran on but found the winner pulling out a bit extra as he came to hold every chance inside the last; can be relied upon so long as his sights aren't set too high.

Reasonable prize money was on offer and attracted quite a competitive field for this useful handicap, solid enough form for the grade in the North, with reliable sorts in third/fourth; Sound Advice and Another For Joe raced clear of the rest, going a strong pace, and that set things up for those coming from towards the back.

MUHARRER is an improved character all round this season, more the finished article, able to get the job done unlike last year, and he's showing useful form, coping fine with this 2f shorter trip, albeit suited by the strong gallop; raced off the pace, headway under pressure 3f out, stayed on to lead approaching final 1f, kept going well when runner-up came at him late; things aren't sure to pan out so well for him next time but he's fresh for the second half of the season and no reason why he won't continue to give a good account.
