completed the 4-timer, defying a mark 19 lb higher than when winning run started; chased leader, led under pressure over 1f out, kept going well; will continue to give good account/still unexposed, for all that it remains to be seen if he can defy a mark in the 90s in a more competitive environment.

A disappointing turnout for a decent prize but, despite the small field, it's a solid result; the pace set by the runner-up was no more than fair but it had no impact on the result.

GENIUS BOY completed the 4-timer, defying a mark 19 lb higher than when winning run started; chased leader, led under pressure over 1f out, kept going well; will continue to give good account/still unexposed, for all that it remains to be seen if he can defy a mark in the 90s in a more competitive environment.

ONE PEKAN (IRE) with cheekpieces added to hood, ran up to best and had no excuses, just no match for the thriving winner; led, headed over 1f out, kept on.

DON'T STARE back on turf, tackling a 1f longer trip, failed to build on promise of last run; held up, effort 3f out, one paced, never a threat.

LIFE AND TIMES (USA) again ran poorly; slowly into stride, in touch, effort 4f out, dropped away over 2f out, not look keen.
