met with defeat on his last 2 starts in 2014, but very much got his career back on track, showing that he's come back at least as good as he was as a 3-y-o, and with the potential to rate even higher; held up, travelled best, headway over 2f out, led early in straight, drew clear, in control long way out; left with little to beat, but couldn't have done any more and well worth his place in better company.

was up in grade and rather stole some black type, producing a rare below-par effort to be beaten so far, still to convince over this trip too; held up, not settle fully, struggling over 3f out, plodded on.

came into this in the form of his life, but even that wouldn't have been enough in this company, and he was below form in any case; led, headed early in straight, faded.

back down in trip, followed below-par effort with even worse one; chased leader, pushed along 4f out, lost place 2f out; something to prove at present.

A poor turnout for the money on offer and it's best to take a cautious view of the form for now, Connecticut probably left with liitle to beat, but at least doing all he could, and all of his potential remains intact.
