has tended to need her reappearance in the past, but looked at least as good as ever returning from 7 months off, able to be called the winner a long way out and asserting for just hand riding having sauntered to the front; waited with, tanked along, quickened to lead entering final 1f, impressive; she's clearly getting better with age and should take plenty of beating in all the top sprint contests this season.

who won this race last year, had a fitness edge over the front pair, but went backwards from reappearance, never really travelling with her usual zest; held up, off the bridle before other principals, keeping on when had to pick way through approaching final 1f, ran on without ever posing a serious threat.

showed more than first time up for this stable after 8 months off, though is likely to find wins hard to come by at this level; mid-field, effort over 2f out, not quicken final 1f.
