unbeaten as a 2-y-o but not seen since landing the Phoenix Stakes 10 months previously, made it 5 wins from as many starts and continues to look something out of the ordinary, entitled to beat this opposition like he did, but most impressive all the same and the sky looks the limit for him; held up, travelled best, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead soon after, stormed clear; he's all speed, no surprise connections decided against stepping him up in trip and he looks the clear one to beat for the Commonwealth Cup back at Royal Ascot.

fitter for reappearance, exceeded expectations in this company, but was seemingly ridden to pick up the pieces; in rear, raced freely, pushed along approaching 2f out, late headway.

wasn't disgraced despite not quite matching her latest effort, form which has taken one or two knocks since, not least with the winner finishing behind her here; led, pushed along 2f out, headed inside final 1f, no extra.

wasn't in the same form as last time, the form of that having not worked out since, but either way this just wasn't his running; mid-field, ridden over 2f out, not quicken final 1f.

in first-time tongue strap, was entitled to need this after 11 months off, but wasn't up to the better company anyway and not for the first time didn't look the most straightforward; in rear, shaken up 2f out, carried head awkwardly, never landed a blow.

not seen since a disappointing favourite in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot, has seemingly had his problems since and finished well held in first-time tongue strap after 11 months off, left with something to prove now; handy, shaken up approaching 2f out, weakened final 1f.

A Group 3 for 3-y-os which revolved around the return of Caravaggio, and though it's easy to pick holes in what he beat, he certainly could not have done it any better.

CARAVAGGIO (USA) unbeaten as a 2-y-o but not seen since landing the Phoenix Stakes 10 months previously, made it 5 wins from as many starts and continues to look something out of the ordinary, entitled to beat this opposition like he did, but most impressive all the same and the sky looks the limit for him; held up, travelled best, shaken up over 1f out, quickened to lead soon after, stormed clear; he's all speed, no surprise connections decided against stepping him up in trip and he looks the clear one to beat for the Commonwealth Cup back at Royal Ascot.

PSYCHEDELIC FUNK stepped up on his poor reappearance effort, running up to the pick of his 2-y-o form and giving best only to a high-class sort; handy, shaken up over 2f out, kept on.

MR SCARLET fitter for reappearance, exceeded expectations in this company, but was seemingly ridden to pick up the pieces; in rear, raced freely, pushed along approaching 2f out, late headway.
