reversed recent Perth form with Kilbree Kid on 5 lb better terms and resumed winning ways, continuing to hold his form well since stepped up to this sort of trip; patiently ridden, hit twelfth, some headway home turn, switched right, not fluent 2 out, led approaching last, kept on gamely, the race essentially run to suit.

has been given a big chance by the handicapper, winner of this race last year from an 8 lb lower mark, well backed returning from 4 months off, and duly ran better than for a while, faring best of the duo that raced right up with the pace, though this may have been his 'Cup Final', uncertain to reproduce this form next time; helped force pace, ridden entering straight, headed 3 out, switched right, plugged on run-in.

couldn't complete the hat-trick away from his beloved Perth, the handicapper now seemingly in control; mid-field, pushed along home turn, not fluent 4 out, kept on.

got back on track, guilty of making his effort earlier than ideal, shaping like the second best horse at the weights (lost 2 places late on); disputed lead, pressed on 3 out, ridden when headed between last 2, no extra close home.

A fairly useful and valuable handicap chase, Azure Fly and Set List keeping each other company up front, 4 still in with a shout at the second last, Heist ridden most patiently of the quartet in a soundly-run affair, hitting the front soon after and kept up to his work to make it 4 wins for the campaign.
