in first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap, barely had to improve to justify support, helped no end by Swaledale Lad being ridden with restraint for a change, seen to absolutely maximum effect; raced clear, quickened home turn, reduced advantage 3 out, found extra, very much had the run of the race; one to take on next time, worth noting also he gave trouble at the start before setting off in front.

easy to back, has long had problems with jumping but remains in better heart than this might suggest; raced off the pace, hampered first, mistakes before halfway, brief headway from 4 out, no extra last, left poorly placed.

A pitiful turnout for a 0-140, and it soon became worse with the favourite down at the first, the race hardly satisfactory in how it developed either with the winner allowed plenty of rope as the other trademark front runner was taken back.

ARKAIM in first-time cheekpieces and tongue strap, barely had to improve to justify support, helped no end by Swaledale Lad being ridden with restraint for a change, seen to absolutely maximum effect; raced clear, quickened home turn, reduced advantage 3 out, found extra, very much had the run of the race; one to take on next time, worth noting also he gave trouble at the start before setting off in front.
