largely progressive as a juvenile, improved another chunk to make a winning return after 10 months off, showing a good turn of foot and seeing out the extra 1f thoroughly; held up, ridden approaching straight, challenged over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, driven ahead; should remain competitive at this level and is well worth a try at 1¼m too (bred to suit).

ran respectably as he found one too good in his bid to win this race for the second year running; waited with, travelled smoothly, shaken up approaching 2f out, good headway 1f out, kept on.

tasted defeat for the first time returning from an absence, though shaped as if retaining all ability, looking the likely winner 1f out but unable to seal the deal, perhaps a bit worrying that he looked a little hesitant under pressure, though more importantly he was entitled to need this run after 10 months off; mid-field, travelled strongly, shaken up over 1f out, disputed lead soon after, no extra last ½f; likely to be much closer to form next time.

possibly still needed this run, though essentially isn't up to this level on turf; handy, shaken up home turn, left behind over 1f out, not persevered with once held.

An up-to-scratch Group 3 in which plenty revolved around the return of Breeders' Cup hero Hit It A Bomb, while the older horses were well represented too with Cougar Mountain and Custom Cut both being previous winners of this race, though it was another 3-y-o making his seasonal reappearance who stole the show in the shape of Tribal Beat; the gallop was sound.

TRIBAL BEAT (IRE) largely progressive as a juvenile, improved another chunk to make a winning return after 10 months off, showing a good turn of foot and seeing out the extra 1f thoroughly; held up, ridden approaching straight, challenged over 1f out, stayed on to lead final 100 yds, driven ahead; should remain competitive at this level and is well worth a try at 1¼m too (bred to suit).
