had caught the eye over an inadequate trip last time and, back up in distance, duly showed improved form to get off the mark, scoring with something in hand; tracked pace, travelled fluently, challenged 3 out, went on next, drew clear early in straight, untidy last but still won readily; may do better still and will remain one to be interested in.

showed improved form despite seeming to find this barely enough of a test; mid-division, mistake fourth, effort 2 out, headway under pressure approaching last, not fluent there, kept on but no impression on winner; will benefit from return to 2¾m+.

wasn't disgraced over a trip which is probably as far as he wants to go; led, went with enthusiasm, untidy fifth, tackled 3 out, headed next, faded; likely to prove best at short of 2½m.
