ran better than last time without quite recapturing her Epsom form; soon led, shaken up early in straight, headed 2f out, kept on, considerately handled; will prove suited by a return to 1½m and is unlikely to remain with just 1 win to her name for much longer.

A useful listed event that was predictably dominated by the pair at the head of the market, both of whom brought classic form to the table, Laburnum justifying strong support to see off Ennistymon; the pace seemed sound.

LABURNUM (IRE) strong in the betting, capitalised on the drop in grade, not needing to improve to double her career tally; tracked pace, travelled well, went on 2f out, won cosily; has plenty of options between now and the end of the season, the Blandford likely to be one of them, and remains open to improvement.

EPONA PLAYS (IRE) back up in trip, ran well on form; mid-division, effort 2f out, third 1f out, one paced.

CROTCHET failed to repeat last effort; broke fast, chased leaders, pushed along early in straight, faded; type to bounce back quickly.
