Only 2 made it to the finish in a weak race for the grade and even between them it was muddling, the winner's late rally carrying him to the front close home after the runner-up had looked in command for much of the home straight.

GOSHEN (FR) in a change of headgear, got off the mark over fences given a third try, rallying well to get up after the second looked to have taken his measure; led until joined fifth, pushed along home turn, outpaced 3 out, rallied approaching last, stayed on to lead dying strides; he'll be opposable in anything competitive next time.

MAYHEM MYA looked on a good mark back in a handicap and went like the best horse at the weights only to get nabbed late, the mistake she made 2 out perhaps costly; mid-division, mistake fourth, jumped on 4 out, 4 lengths up when blundered 2 out, closed down last, collared dying strides.

ZAMBEZI FIX (FR) back chasing, probably remains in form but wasn't making his first mistake when departing; held up, mistake sixth, 7 lengths third when fell 2 out, probably making no more impression at the time for all it wouldn't have taken too power-packed a finish to shake up the first 2.

FINE CASTING (IRE) turned in a rare poor effort; prominent, jumped left, upsides from fifth, pushed along before 4 out, folded, beaten when bad mistake 3 out.
