was perked up no end by first-time blinkers and returned to form to cash in on a mark fully 18 lb lower than the one off which he started the season; chased leader, travelled better than usual, led soon after 4 out, kicked on before next, idled run-in, driven out; will remain well treated on old form but best to take him on next time all the same (had hard race and headgear not sure to work so well again)

Easy to make sense of this so far as the first 3 are concerned, each potentially well treated, though overall more ran badly than well and it doesn't look like particularly strong form for the grade; at least the pace was sound.

ON TREND (IRE) was perked up no end by first-time blinkers and returned to form to cash in on a mark fully 18 lb lower than the one off which he started the season; chased leader, travelled better than usual, led soon after 4 out, kicked on before next, idled run-in, driven out; will remain well treated on old form but best to take him on next time all the same (had hard race and headgear not sure to work so well again)

QIANSHAN LEADER (IRE) was below form in change of headgear after 3 months off; made running, blundered eleventh, pushed along 5 out, headed soon after, weakened home turn; he's potentially well handicapped but his good days are hard to predict.
