had looked the main threat to the favourite when winning the Musidora in fine style and duly proved so, travelling more comfortably than Savethelastdance from a long way out and having no issue with the longer trip, plenty to like about her physique and her profile overall, and she'll surely progress further; trapped wide early but soon steadied, travelled well, headway over 3f out, produced to lead over 1f out, pushed out; she would need to be supplemented for the Irish Oaks, perhaps the Nassau an alternative, as she's likely to prove just as effective at 1¼m as she is at this trip.

couldn't justify her short price, travelling less well than the winner for the whole straight, and perhaps this firmer ground didn't suit so well after all, acknowledging it's not easy to quantify quite what she achieved at Chester; tracked pace, pushed along 3f out, every chance over 1f out, not quicken; she may yet do better back on softer ground and faced with more emphasis on stamina, plenty about her to think she'd be a fascinating runner in the St Leger.

isn't bred to stay much further than 1m, so seemed an unlikely contender, but she excelled herself, showing much improved form and giving best only relatively late in the day having quickened better than Savethelastdance initially; held up, effort entering straight, headway to lead over 2f out, headed over 1f out, kept on.

upped in trip and on very different ground from her debut, built on the considerable promise she showed there, her inexperience a factor in initially not really handling the track in the straight, while she didn't have the clearest of runs, either; missed the break, mid-field, shaken up over 3f out, not quicken, hung left, kept on from 2f out without getting near the front 3; she's likely to improve again and will win races at a lower level.

was below form on what was her first start in British, likely to stay on pedigree so more likely the firmer ground was the issue in her being unable to repeat her Prix Saint-Alary form; close up, led 3f out, headed well over 2f out, weakened soon after.

supplemented for this after winning at Lingfield, hadn't run to the level of the first 2 in winning her trial but she obviously ought to have done a lot better than she did, this her turf debut and perhaps just not suited by the surface; waited with, shaken up 4f out, labouring soon after.

Not the deepest field for an Oaks, more so after the Pretty Polly winner Running Lion was withdrawn after getting upset in the stalls, most with plenty to find, the market dominated by 2 of the main trial winners; they finished clear along with the Guineas fourth, the winner's turn of foot too much for her rivals on this ground, the bare form looking no more than average for the race, the time 2.63 secs slower than the Coronation Cup earlier on the card, though the winner remains with improvement in her and the runner-up may yet do better back on softer ground.
