had dropped a long way in the weights and justified support as he landed his first success for over a year; mid-field, outpaced early in straight, headway under pressure 2f out, stayed on to lead well inside final 1f, driven out; he won't be handicapped out of things next time.

ran well bidding to follow up his Newmarket win from a 4 lb higher mark, benefiting from being more patiently ridden than of late having missed the kick slightly; dwelt, held up, effort over 2f out, good headway on inner entering final 1f, kept on.

shaped well after 4 months off, the lack of a recent outing presumably to blame for her tying up close home having travelled best; in touch, travelled strongly, led on bridle 2f out, shaken up final 1f, still a couple of lengths up final 100 yds before wilting and headed late on; one to keep an eye on.

failed to justify support, shaping similarly to his only previous start at the track, though also going very wide turning in this time, too; prominent, pulled way to front after 1f, went clear soon after, ran wide home turn (possibly jumped path), headed 2f out, faded, not unduly punished (rider reported that the saddle slipped late on).
