A useful and competitive handicap, one that assures the winner a run in the Ebor at York, and it went the way the market predicted, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles picking his way through from well off the pace to get on top in the final 1f.

NUSRET who had developed into a useful hurdler since last seen in this sphere, transferred that improvement back to the level to justify support; held up, travelled well, had to pick way through straight, produced to lead entering final 1f, driven out; this guarantees him a run in the Ebor at York and he, reportedly, may take in the Galway Hurdle en route.
