completed the hat-trick in workmanlike fashion, once again giving the impression there is a bigger performance in the locker when required, trips in excess of 1m sure to show him in an even better light; chased leaders, pushed along over 2f out, stayed on to lead entering final 1f, driven out; will go on improving and looks well up to making his mark at the top level next year.

the least fancied of the Ballydoyle quintet, is improving in chunks and deserves extra credit, conceding first run to a degree and forced to deliver his challenge on the unfavoured inside; chased leaders, headway when forced to switch 2f out, finished well; will be one to follow in 2017.

has come a long way in a short space of time, this a decidedly useful effort from one who made his debut little over a month ago; close up, went on early in straight, headed over 1f out, no extra final 100 yds; remains open to improvement.

back up in trip, fared no better than last time after 10 weeks off, though was left poorly placed the way things panned out; dropped out, ridden early in straight, kept on, no match for principals.

couldn't even match debut form, this possibly coming a bit too early in his development; held up, off the bridle before most, made no impression; worth another chance.

A race that Aidan O'Brien has made his own in recent times, this his seventh time to win it in the last 8 years, and that was certainly in evidence here, the first 3 home all hailing from Ballydoyle, but that is no reason to crab the form, all 3 exciting prospects in their own right; the pace didn't pick up until the home turn, from where the principals put a significant amount of distance between themselves and the rest.
