continued his remarkable winning streak, as expected looking well at home over this longer trip, typically lacking fluency at one or 2 flights but still able to hold off a better calibre of rival than he's faced in any of his 3 previous victories at this track, his rider nursing him home somewhat at the death, no surprise given the conditions and his 10-month absence; led, not fluent eighth, threatened 2 out, untidy last, quickened a length or so clear after, closed down final 100 yds, just held on under mainly hands and heels; this was obviously thin for the grade but he's a fascinating horse who continues to surprise.

again ran well, possible that he'd have benefited from even more of a slog; in touch, went prominent before eighth, every chance 2 out, not quicken briefly after last then closed all the way to the line, just failed.

got back on track in first-time cheekpieces after 6 weeks off, this as good as he's been over hurdles; in touch, shaken up after seventh, went prominent entering straight, kept on, no extra near finish.

Regularly one of the weakest races in this series but still a rousing finish between the front 3, Captain Zebo clinging on to bring up the 5-timer.
