an impressive winner on the Flat last month, stood out on form and didn't need to be at his best to land the odds, going one better than in this contest in 2012; chased leader, untidy fifth, challenged 2 out, asserted before last, pushed out; a most consistent sort, he has plenty of options open to him and will take plenty of beating wherever he goes next.

ran as well as entitled to back up in grade, but had the benefit of an uncontested lead; led until 2 out, no match for winner, very much had the run of the race.

without a hood this time, ran better than last time without ever looking like winning; held up in remote third, not fluent second, sixth, pushed along before straight, made no impression; is better suited to the hustle and bustle of big-field handicaps.

An uncompetitive race for the grade and a very straightforward task for Rebel Fitz, the long odds-on favourite sitting in second before picking off the front-running Darwins Fox after 2 out.

REBEL FITZ (FR) an impressive winner on the Flat last month, stood out on form and didn't need to be at his best to land the odds, going one better than in this contest in 2012; chased leader, untidy fifth, challenged 2 out, asserted before last, pushed out; a most consistent sort, he has plenty of options open to him and will take plenty of beating wherever he goes next.

THE GAME CHANGER (IRE) without a hood this time, ran better than last time without ever looking like winning; held up in remote third, not fluent second, sixth, pushed along before straight, made no impression; is better suited to the hustle and bustle of big-field handicaps.

PLINTH (IRE) back down in trip, ran as well as could be expected faced with a stiff task; held up, driven after 3 out, never landed a blow.

FALSE ECONOMY (IRE) in first-time blinkers, predictably wasn't up to the task and doesn't seem to be the force of old; dropped out, mistake fourth, never on terms.
