13:15 - Alternative Fact
Capitalised on a falling mark at Newmarket final start of 2019. Not seen to best effect at Haydock on reappearance last week, and likely to be much closer to form this time. Back down in trip.
Star verdict (out of five): ***
13:50 – First Receiver
Took a big step forward when winning 1m Kempton maiden on return, forging clear. Should have even more to offer up in trip for Royal Ascot's leading handler. One to consider.
Star verdict (out of five): ****
14:25 – King’s Caper
Three wins around 1m as a thw-year-old. Well-held fifth in Lingfield Derby Trial on reappearance and others in this line-up look more progressive. Yard does have excellent record in the race, though.
Star verdict (out of five): **
15:00 – Mahdaayih
Did well last term, winning 3 times, including 12f Fillies' Group 2 in France. Good effort in the Champion Stakes here when last seen but faces a stiff re-introduction.
Star verdict (out of five): ***
15:35 – Lord Tennyson
A clear-cut winner at Chelmsford on belated debut in February and found just one too good in Newmarket listed event recently. This is a big ask for one so inexperienced but he's clearly very promising.
Star verdict (out of five): ***
16:10 – Sunshine City
Made a ready winning debut in a maiden claimer at Gulfstream 48 days ago and likely to be more forward than the bulk of her rivals given the circumstances. Definite player.
Star verdict (out of five): ****
