O'BRIEN AND MOORE TAKE TOP TRAINER AND JOCKEY TITLESUsherette attempts to defend Duke of Cambridge
Posted in: Royal Ascot News
Usherette hasn't yet built on her two and a quarter length win in the 2016 Duke of Cambridge, but will likely sharpen up for her third in the Prix d'Ispahan at Chantilly last time, and will surely play a major role with no penalty to shoulder in this year's event.
She may well face another winner from last year's Royal meeting in the form of Qemah, who won the Coronation Stakes before going on to land a second Group 1 in the form of the Prix Rothschild at Deauville. Impressive Princess Elizabeth Stakes winner Laugh Aloud, trained by John Gosden, looks the best of the British entries. Gosden may also saddle Persuasive, who remains open to further improvement after a progressive three-year-old season.
