The three-year-old, who has generally been progressive in his five starts to date, disappointed in the listed Tetrarch Stakes at Naas last month, but bounced back to form in emphatic fashion in a minor race at Navan at the weekend, leading to his trainer Adrian Keatley eyeing up a potential tilt at the St James’s Palace Stakes.
He said: "We were delighted with him. We decided we'd drop him in class to try to get his confidence up and it worked out well.
"He may not have beaten a lot of good horses, but there was confidence behind a couple of them and he couldn't have done it any easier
"It's great to have him back on track and hopefully we'll have him ready for Royal Ascot now in a couple of weeks' time
"He's in the St James's Palace and we'll also look at the Jersey. I'll have a chat with Gerald (Mosse) and the owner in the next few days and make a decision on which way we'll go.”
London Icon is currently a best price of 50/1 for the St James’s Palace Stakes on Tuesday 19th June.
