Despite having to make do with the runner-up spot on his racecourse debut at Ripon a fortnight ago, plenty was expected of Simon Crisford's juvenile in this five-furlong Group Two as he was towards the head of the market at 5-1.

Second on his only previous outing to date at Ripon, he was a well-backed 5-1 second choice in the market and came cruising past the favourite Sunday Sovereign on entering the final furlong.
Ventura Rebel emerged from the pack to chase A'Ali, but Dettori was always holding him for a cosy win.
Crisford used to be racing manager at Godolphin, who were Dettori's employers for many years.
Dettori told ITV Racing: "He was travelling so good, he did everything like a professional, he maybe idled a bit in front.
"I'm pleased to get a winner for Simon, I was with him for over 20 years at Godolphin so I'm delighted."
Crisford said: "He looked really fresh and even going to post I thought he looked slightly under-cooked.
"We always felt he was a special talent which was why he even though he was beaten in a maiden, we ran him in a Group Two.
"I wouldn't have run him, but all the figures people were telling me his figures were through the roof."
