This can be a daunting task with a vast amount of information packed onto each page (interpreting the terms covered elsewhere). Whether you prefer to simply side with names or study each and every line of form, the racecard is designed as a tool for everybody to utilise.
For the beginner, a lot of cards provide a betting forecast for each of the 6-runners as well as a verdict, usually the publisher of the racecard’s opinion as to the likely winner of the race and often, the chief dangers to their selection.
