MO CARA BREEZE isn’t the strongest of runners over Monmore’s 480 trip and caught the eye over two bends on two of her last four starts. Quickly into stride latest, she was done no favours by a hefty bump at the first bend on that occasion. Today’s D3 contest doesn’t look overly strong and, with a fast break and clear run at bend one, she may well be set to strike.

SINGAPORE SLING (Trap 3) - 16:58 Monmore

SINGAPORE SLING was a most impressive winner in A4 class three starts back and clearly doesn’t lack for stamina over the tough 480-metre trip, coming home strongly to finish third in this grade latest having encountered crowding at the quarter point. Paul Sallis’ charge is in good order on that evidence and, granted a clear passage is fancied to go well this afternoon.

SLANEY ICON (Trap 5) - 18:41 Yarmouth

Strictly on recent efforts a leap of faith is required in supporting SLANEY ICON, especially as she’s been out with the washing on her last few starts. However, the majority of those efforts have come in stronger company and, this evening she holds sound claims of turning handy at the very least in a field packed full of moderate breakers, so we’re willing to chance the daughter of Jaytee Jet to emerge victorious.
