The selection is running in his first handicap but it promises to suit given his late-running style and he is up against a weakish field among whom a couple have been running moderately recently. By our reckoning he ought to be conceding at least another two metres start and this is an easier task than the A1s he regularly runs in.

GEORDIE ROSE (Trap 2) in the 20:51 at Peterborough

The best bet at Peterborough this evening is GEORDIE ROSE in the 20:51. We made him one of our Smart Plays last week in anticipation of a clear run and he made short work of his rivals to win by a wide margin. This race is harder as befits a higher grade but, still only eighteen months old, he is open to plenty of improvement and can take this without too much fuss.

DAITHIS STAR (Trap 5) in the 21:06 at Peterborough

In the 21:06, we are also keeping faith with another greyhound we sent out last week, DAITHIS STAR. The selection was beaten into third then by Bit View Colin who reopposes tonight and is expected to confirm the form judged on the morning prices, but the move to the white box doesn’t look helpful while Daithis Star ought to be favoured by being drawn wider.
