We provide three selections from Sheffield on Tuesday.
Cactus Twink (Trap 1) - 19:57 at Sheffield
CACTUS TWINK (Trap 1, 19.57) has largely kept some strong company this spring and, following a short break, ran well to finish second in open class last time, meeting trouble early following a tardy start but keeping on well to take second. Her effort was solid on the clock that day and from a good make-up in the red jacket, the daughter of Head Bound should prove tough to beat.
Derrygrath Sam (Trap 1) - 20:13 at Sheffield
DERRYGRATH SAM’s (Trap 1, 20.13) last appearance in the grade of A4 resulted in success and having not been disgraced in A3 Class subsequently, he is fancied to capitalise on the return to calmer waters. Norman Melbourne’s charge is a strong runner over the standard 500-metre trip and, drawn inside a moderate breaker, he is fancied to come out on top.
Loki (Trap 2) - 21:52 at Sheffield
LOKI (Trap 2, 21.52) hasn’t really kicked on as may well have been expected, and arrives on a losing run stretching back to January. However, he indicated his turn may not be far away in finding only one too good on 3 of his last 4 starts. His latest effort is best overlooked on account of trouble-in-running and in a race lacking depth he can make a swift exit from the boxes and attempt to make every post a winning one.
