Best Bets: Tuesday 6 August

We pick out our three best bets from Central Park and Sheffield on Tuesday.
KARLOW SCOLAR (Trap 3) in the 13:08 at Central Park
KARLOW SCOLAR was established as an open-racer earlier in his career, yet has highlighted in recent months that he still has a good deal to offer despite reaching the veteran stage of his career. Close-up when second in two of his last three starts in A1 grade, the son of Droopys Scolari can have his latest effort overlooked on account of trouble-in-running, and we’re hopeful this classy tracker can get back to winning ways in the 13:08 contest at Central Park.
JOB DECISION (Trap 6) in the 13:39 at Central Park
JOB DECISION is on a losing run stretching back to April, but there have been signs of late he is ready to end the drought. Tony Collett’s charge isn’t lining up in the strongest of A2 contests at 13:39, and with claims of turning handy at the very least, the son of Greenwell Hulk can come home in front.
CACTUS TWINK (Trap 2) in the 20:44 at Sheffield
Over at Sheffield, there is an interesting minor maiden stayers contest at 20:44 and the claims of CACTUS TWINK look fairly solid. A cracking local operator, the daughter of Head Bound has hinted a crack at this trip was worth exploring, particularly with her hard-fought success from an unpromising position in A1 class two starts ago. An early lead on the rails rates a distinct possibility this evening and Tony McKenna’s charge is fancied to boss matters.
