Droopys Dreamer (T5) is fancied to build on an encouraging debut display at Perry Barr last week and come out on top in this sprint. A capable performer over four-bend trips, he’s unsurprisingly a strong runner over the 275-metre distance and likely capable of better still on the clock in our book.

Ballymac Mel (Trap 5) - 19:48 Doncaster

Having made a bright start to her career at Doncaster, youngster Ballymac Mel (T5) showed a determined attitude to shed the maiden tag six days ago, doing well to ride a bump off the second bend and coming from mid-division off the final bend to lead close home. An October '22 whelp, it’s reasonable to expect further improvement from this daughter of Ballymac Best and, escaping a grade rise for that success, all looks set fair for a bold follow-up bid.

Bennys Maggie (Trap 6) - 20:03 Doncaster

Following a string of consistent efforts, Bennys Maggie (T6) again ran well despite a slight stumble out of the traps when runner-up in this class of B6 last week. Her strike rate tempers enthusiasm to a degree but she appears to do little wrong and, in a race lacking depth, this could well be the day she gets her head back in front.
