DROOPYS GINA (Trap 3) - 18:22 Sheffield

The first of three bets on Sheffield’s evening card comes in the opening A3 contest at 18.22, with DROOPYS GINA fancied to build on a promising comeback run last week. He's better known as an Open-class stayer at the track, but Barrie Draper’s inmate possesses the speed to cope with four bends and he’s essentially a notch above this grade.

REFERENDUM (Trap 1) - 20:13 Sheffield

He’s unlikely to be missed in the market, but REFERENDUM clocked a seriously impressive time when doubling his career tally in Open company last week. On that evidence he’s already smart and given that was just his fifth race, he could well rack up a sequence in similar events, starting in the 20.13.

GLORY MILLIE (Trap 3) - 21:14 Sheffield

Continuing the theme of smart prospects, ex-Doncaster performer GLORY MILLIE has passed each of her three tests so far with flying colours, hammering her rivals in Open company here a week ago. The 21.14 contest appeals as a slightly stronger race and there will be early pressure on her inside out of the boxes, but she’s more than capable of extending her sequence.
