We provide selections from Sheffield and Newcastle on Thursday.
Inca Tigerlily (Trap 2) - 15:47 at Sheffield
INCA TIGERLILY (Trap 2, 15.47) despite what her finishing position would indicate, was a major eye-catcher 10 days ago, attempting to make her challenge at halfway she found severe crowding compromising her chance. However, Phil Barlow’s youngster remains one to be positive about, particularly at this lowly level of D4 and she is fancied to make amends this afternoon.
Lacken Twiggy (Trap 3) in the 19:42 at Newcastle
Over at Newcastle LACKEN TWIGGY (Trap 3, 19.42) lacks the scope of some younger rivals in opposition, yet in truth she’s a solid A2 operator with her best efforts having come out of the white jacket and that is enough to swing the pendulum in her favour. A KO on the 13th June clearly had no adverse effects on the daughter of Droopys Jet given the way she trialled subsequently (impressed on the sectional clock) and she should prove tough to contain granted a ping break. Irenes Hope is feared, however.
Beaming Marshall (Trap 2) in the 20:44 at Newcastle
BEAMING MARSHALL (Trap 2, 20.44) had been plying his trade to good effect in sprint contests prior to a narrow defeat in a C&D A2 on his most recent start and on balance he may be ready to strike again. The son of Kinloch Brae can break better than he did latest and with claims of seizing the initiative early doors on the rails, we’re hopeful he can have enough in reserve to fend off the challengers.
