Best Bets: Thursday 26 September

We pick out our three best bets from three different tracks on Thursday.
Scoop The Pot (Trap 1) - 13:16 Central Park
Scoop The Pot (Trap 1, 13.16) showed improved form when landing back-to-back sprint contests in August and may well be worth chancing to dispel a couple of lesser efforts. His 16.44 in this grade 3 starts back reads particularly well and one of his better breaks can see him play a lead role on the rails.
Blue Hen (Trap 3) - 14:27 Sheffield
Blue Hen (Trap 3, 14.27) is pretty well established as a fair sprint performer at Sheffield but to her credit, has made a good start to her 4-bend career of late, successful in A7 grade 3 starts back prior to just failing to reel in one granted a hefty start in a C&D handicap last time. Improvement over the trip rates a possibility and from what looks a decent make-up in another handicap, she can announce her presence from the halfway point and come home in front.
Wraysbury Girl (Trap 1) - 18:39 Newcastle
Following a recent downgrade, Wraysbury Girl (Trap 1, 18.39) knocked on the door when beaten in a fast time for the grade 13 days ago. Her subsequent display whilst nothing flash on the clock (encountered bad early crowding) she still managed to keep on well for a distant second. This evening’s affair doesn’t appeal as the strongest and a decent position around bends 1 & 2 can see the daughter of Crash make her presence felt.
