LYNAM THE LEGEND (Trap 5, 14.27) is yet to get himself on the scoreboard but he has largely proved consistent and today may well be the day he breaks his duck. Barrie Draper’s charge has plenty of time on his side and having had little go right on his latest start five days ago, it would be rather disappointing where he not able to play a lead role this afternoon.

Do The Dab (Trap 6) - 19:26 at Newcastle

Tonight sees the start of the Newcastle Spring Handicap and DO THE DAB (Trap 6, 19.26) is fancied to book her place in the next round. A top grader at her best she is a strong runner over the 480-metre trip and she’s fancied to play a lead role granted a clear passage from the three-quarter point.

Incognito (Trap 6) - 20:29 at Newcastle

It’s probably safe to say INCOGNITO (Trap 6, 20.29) didn’t progress as initially expected but he is a reliable top-end grader in truth. His strike rate in standard four-bend events is hardly compelling but his style of racing is one that suggests handicaps are more his bag (1-3 in this discipline). His latest runner-up effort in A2 was a solid display on the clock and he can strike fast and late.
