Best Bets: Thursday 12 October

Flight Risk (Trap 2) - 19.36 Hove

Hove play host to some good quality open race action this evening and on the back of some luckless efforts, FLIGHT RISK (Trap 2, 19.36) earns our vote to get back on track. Meeting with crowding at a crucial stage on his latest outing over C&D seven days ago, his overall record on the South coast is a particularly impressive one and he can trap best on the inside and have enough in reserve to hold off the challengers.

Swift Office (Trap 4) - 20.27 Newcastle

We make a quick switch to Newcastle and hopefully that will pay dividends when SWIFT OFFICE (Trap 4) lines up at 20.27. Absent since June, the daughter of Malachi produced a highly-encouraging effort when going down narrowly two weeks ago. Capable of breaking better than she did on that occasion, that run can only have brought her on and we’re hopeful she can confirm the promise of that display and resume winning ways.

Kilara Jacko (Trap 6) - 20.38 Hove

We remain at Hove for the Coral Autumn 500 Maiden Trophy at 20.38 and having bagged a hard-fought success on the comeback trail in A1 company latest, KILARA JACKO (Trap 6) can make use of a handy draw in stripes and come out on top. A strong running sort at the 500m trip, he holds sound claims on expected final time and with a clear run, he can power home from the three-quarter point to add to his tally.
