LONG VIXEN is very much in the infancy of her career and lost little caste in defeat on her competitive debut 10 days ago, finding only one on an upwardly too strong. A September 18 whelp, she’s open to plenty of improvement and, with sound claims of leading, all looks set fair for a big run in an A2 lacking depth.

GRACEFUL SPY (Trap 1) - 14:54 Kinsley

Our second selection this afternoon comes in Kinsley’s 14:54 with a chance taken on GRACEFUL SPY. Beaten narrowly by the re-opposing Minglers Raven last time, the switch to the red jacket looks a positive for the son of Judicial Pride and he’s fancied to boss the rails and have enough in reserve.

SMURFS MACHINE (Trap 4) - 18:58 Central Park 

SMURFS MACHINE had no luck when beaten over 500 metres seven days ago, early trouble compromising his chance. However, Seamus Cahill’s had been in fine form prior to that, landing back-to-back C&D events from the blue jacket. He’s already proved he’s not reliant on an early lead but with a slick break, he’s expected to stamp his class on this contest.
