FLAKY BANDIT has only the one victory from four competitive starts in open class, yet in truth the son of Droopys Cain has improved again of late, his victory in A1 Company two starts back an impressive one on the clock. His subsequent runner-up performance was of a similar level and we’re hopeful he can turn handy at the very least and announce himself as a chief threat from the ¾ point.

HEADFORD DOMINO (Trap 2) - 20.08 Nottingham

HEADFORD DOMINO has been in fine form in recent months, making it three wins from his last four starts at Henlow last month. His subsequent C&D trial was impressive on the clock heading into this competition, no mean feat in dipping under the 18-second barrier and, granted a clear run on the rails, all looks set fair for a very big run.

GISLEBERTUS (Trap 4) - 20:51 Nottingham

Heat five at 20.51 doesn’t rate the strongest affair on paper but, with confirmed class to call upon, GISLEBERTUS is fancied to dispel an unlucky C&D effort seven days ago. His most potent asset is his excellent early pace and having highlighted his well-being at Crayford of late, he can boss matters down the centre, with News Knight possibly emerging at the chief threat.
